Poprad is a mountain river with its source in the Slovak Tatras at an altitude of almost 2000 m above sea level, which is a national phenomenon. An interesting fact is also the unusual course of the river - it is the only river in Poland whose sources are located on the southern slopes of the Carpathians, and yet it is located in the catchment area of the Baltic Sea, located in the north.
Breaking through the rock mass of the Carpathians, Poprad creates a picturesque gorge with numerous meanders. It is a border river on a considerable length, separating the territories of Poland and Slovakia. In part of this breakthrough, between the well-known tourist centers Piwniczna and Rytro, a tourist attraction was prepared in the form of a boat trip down the river.
After about 10 km of rafting, the boats arrive at the marina in Rytro, located near the football field. During the rafting, you can admire the beautiful Beskid landscapes, and on a boat swaying by the rapids of the river, experience an experience that only raftsmen who flowed through this way could experience years ago, or even earlier merchants transporting their goods from Hungary on rafts. If you are planning trips around the beautiful Sądecka Land, we invite you to take advantage of the attractive boat trip down the Poprad Valley from Piwniczna to Rytro.
