The tower on Eliaszówka is one of the free attractions of the commune. The summit itself rises at 1023 meters above sea level. It lies in the Lubowelskie Mountains, located on the Polish-Slovak border, in the Beskid Sądecki Mountains. Until recently, a pedestrian border crossing functioned here, and during the Second World War it was here that Polish couriers crossed the border.
The top is wooded, but beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, Polish and Slovak, can be seen from the 20-meter high wooden tower. Next to the tower there is a roofed gazebo where you can relax and a place for a bonfire. An obstacle course has been created there for cycling enthusiasts.
There is a green trail leading to Eliaszówka from the center of Piwniczna-Zdrój (approx. 8 km of the route and a total of approx. 700 m of ascent). On the route there is a shelter and a Horse Riding Center “Chata Magóry”, an atmospheric place where you can relax. The trail is well prepared, stairs and handrails have been built in more difficult places. The green trail from Eliaszówka continues to the Gromadzka Pass, from where you can go down the red trail through Obidza to Sucha Dolina and continue on the asphalt road back to Piwniczna-Zdrój. More experienced hikers can extend the route from Eliaszówka and go back to Piwniczna through Obidza and Wielki Rogacz (blue, red and yellow trails, approx. 23 km), and even climb Radziejowa (approx. 26 km).
