Increasing the tourist traffic should take place, among others. thanks to the expansion of cooperation and coordination of activities between all entities involved in the development of tourism and the development of an effective tourist information system.
The development of winter tourism would complement the tourist offer offered by the commune. It should be emphasized that the commune has adequate accommodation and catering facilities. There is a rich accommodation base in Szczawnica, widely available and characterized by a variety of accommodation, ranging from exclusive hotels to guest rooms in private homes.
As a result, the implementation of the project involving the modernization, construction and extension of sports facilities, including winter sports infrastructure, would provide tourists with all the conditions necessary for active recreation (both in terms of summer and winter tourism).
The implementation of the project would largely influence the development of municipal tourism, especially winter tourism. Thanks to the achieved results of the project, the improvement of infrastructure would have a positive impact on the opinions of recipients, which would allow for the natural dissemination and promotion of the Commune. Satisfied tourists and patients, thanks to the good infrastructure of Szczawnica ski lifts and ski slopes, would be happy to come back to Szczawnica in the winter season.
Properties where the project can be implemented is ul. Main plot 1220/49, square near the railway. On the other hand, the facilities that the Commune could use to promote the project are: hotels, Mineral Water Pump Room, taverns and restaurants, the Pieniny Museum in Szlachtowa. The main barriers limiting the implementation of the planned project are the lack of financing from the Commune's budget.
