The tourist attractions of the Krynica-Zdrój Commune include, among others:
- recreational values: clean air, landscape, healing values (mineral waters), spa town, forests, mountain areas,
- sightseeing values: monuments of wooden architecture, museums, contemporary cultural events and
- specialist qualities: hiking, cycling (including MTB).
One of the most recognizable natural values in the commune are: Poprad Landscape Park, Devil's Stone (natural monument), mofets, mineral water springs and the Spa Park at the foot of Parkowa Mountain. Historic buildings in the commune include:
- Nikifor Museum,
- Lord's Transfiguration Church,
- The Orthodox Church of St. Włodzimierz in Krynica-Zdrój,
- Greek Catholic Church of St. Peter and Paul,
- Kosma and Damian Church in Tylicz,
- Orthodox Church in Muszynka,
- Orthodox church in Berest,
- Orthodox church in Polany,
- Jewish cemetery,
- Hyże Lemkos.
In addition, mention should be made of the historic wooden architecture, i.e. the Jan and Józef Pump Room, and wooden buildings on the promenade of Krynica.
According to the provisions of the Krynica-Zdrój Promotion Strategy, the weaknesses of the Krynica-Zdrój Commune reducing the tourist potential of the region include:
- lack of a diversified entertainment offer, cultural season: winter and summer,
- disruption of the cultural landscape (especially sanatorium construction),
- no high-standard services,
- no large conference room,
- disorder in public space in architecture (advertisements, signs),
- seasonality of the offer (dominance of winter), decreasing tourist traffic in the summer season,
- not fully used natural potential,
- aging of the local community, youth migration,
- poor communication accessibility, little use of rail transport,
- no ring road, concentration of traffic pollution in the heart of the city,
- air pollution, smog.
