The facility was built in 1889. designed by Julian Niedzielski and Jan Zawiejski. It is one of the most beautiful historic buildings in Krynica. It serves as a spa sanatorium with over 160 beds. It has a beautiful ballroom, cafe, dining room, treatment and rehabilitation facilities. In the interwar period, Marshal Józef Piłsudski and his family used to spend time in the Stary Dom Zdrojowy. The building is located in the very center of the promenade in Krynica with a view of the promenade, the main pump room, the New Spa House, the Concert Shell and the fountain.
