The church in Jaworki, i.e. the Church of St. John the Baptist is a former Greek Catholic church serving Roman Catholics. It was erected in 1798 in place of the wooden one, which was built in 1680. The previous church was completely destroyed by fire. At that time, a Greek Catholic parish was also created, which included 4 Ruthenian villages. The new temple has a classicist style, but nevertheless, we can also find late baroque elements here, which were enforced by the Austrian construction law. One of the most beautiful religious buildings in the Pieniny. Particularly noteworthy here is the iconostasis recently restored by Krakow art conservators.
