TOURIST VALUES AND TOURIST POTENTIAL OF THE COMMUNE

Uście Gorlickie is a commune with high natural, landscape, spa, cultural and recreational values. The area of the Uście Gorlickie Commune covers the western part of the Low Beskids and the Hańczowskie Mountains and a part of the Magura Range. The commune is characterized by forest-agricultural use. Forests in the commune cover about 58% of its total area, while grassland - 20% and about 12% of arable land. The relief of the area has the character of low mountains with a grate area of the main ridges and valleys. The landscape is dominated by long forested mountain ranges or individual mountains (Lackowa, Jaworzyna), divided by wide valleys. Tourist values of the nature of natural values are mountains and mountain ranges such as:

• Lackowa (997 m above sea level) - the highest peak of the Low Beskids,
• Ostry Wierch (938 m above sea level),
• Jaworzyna Koniecznieńska (881 m above sea level) - the most attractive peak in the Low Beskids,
• Kozie Żebro (847 m above sea level),
• Ubocz (788 m above sea level),
• Jaworzynka (777 m above sea level),
• Rotunda (776 m above sea level) - on the top there is a cemetery designed by Dusan Jurkovic with a characteristic inscription: "Don't cry that we are so far away from people, and storms have taken their toll on us more than once ... After all, the sun is here every morning here. earlier he awakens and covers him with the purple of his glory ",
• Dry Homola (712 m above sea level).

A characteristic feature of the landscape is a large number of river gorges, and there are passes within the ridges. About ¾ of the commune's area is located in the catchment area of the Ropa river and its largest tributary, the Zdynianka, only 1/4 in the Biała Tarnowska catchment area. The rivers flowing in the commune are Ropa, which flows from the town of Blechnarka and Biała Tarnowska, which flows from Izb. The largest streams in the commune include: Szumiak, Medwinek, Przysłup and Zdynianka. The attraction of the area is the water reservoir on the Ropa River in Klimkówka under the Czerteż Mountain.

The vegetation, and especially the forests, give the Commune a special landscape beauty. There is a natural monument in the village of Black, 5 Jul. There are animal and plant reserves in the commune. Rare animal species such as wild boar, Carpathian deer, hare, beaver, lynx, wildcat, wolf, fox can be found in the forests. On the other hand, rare plant species include: glandular livestock, lungwort, monkshood, mountain fescue, mossy cinquefoil, and hoof moth.

The special values include the historic architectural layouts of Lemko villages - Lemko huts, sacred buildings - Orthodox churches, churches, historic war cemeteries from World War I and village cemeteries, roadside chapels and crosses.

Deposits of underground and mineral waters located in the health resort of Wysowa, used in spa treatment, are of great importance for the development of the commune.

Factors that weaken the tourist potential of the commune include, among others, high air pollution, insufficient tourist and tourism-related infrastructure, the lack of tradition of agritourism services and their low prevalence, spatial development problems or small tourist and recreational facilities (accommodation, catering facilities).
